Game Itinerary
Once your game night has been reserved, secured and confirmed, The Avalanche Guild will be there to help you every step of the way. When game-day arrives, we take care of just about everything you need to have one of the most enjoyable hockey experiences of your life.
From the moment you drop off your equipment to the moment you leave, we make sure that your experience is flawless. Whether it’s a couple of extra water bottles or a special ticket request, we have you covered.
When the sun rises on game day, it’s time for us to roll out the red carpet. Everything from your team’s logo on the jumbotron to roster and goal announcements made over the PA system, the night is yours for the taking. We’ll provide the referee, a pro photographer, the Pepsi Center ice, the lights, the music and the announcer. You bring the fans and provide the game entertainment!
:: AFTER-HOURS GAME ITINERARY ::
The day begins with an e-mail or a phone call in the morning from a Guild representative. We’ll go over all the details and make sure your questions are answered.
Teams should try to arrive early and together in order to drop off your equipment in a timely fashion. This also gives you more time to hang out at Brooklyn’s Bar & Grill before the Avs game!
Below is a typical itinerary for After-Hours games. Please note that Pre-Game info is in BLUE and Post-Game details are in MAROON. Times will shift according to the start of Avs games!
ARRIVAL, ENTRANCES & EQUIPMENT DROP-OFF
3:00p – 3:30p OR 5:00p – 6:00p
Post-game players should arrive at Pepsi Center two (2) hours before the Avs game. Pre-Game players should arrive one hour before game time. Post-game players must enter through the Group Entrance double-doors on the far right side of the west (main) entrance. Pre-game players must enter through the VIP Entrance double-doors on the far left side of the west entrance.
Once inside, someone from The Avalanche Guild will take all of your gear, store it and show you where to meet everyone when the Avalanche game ends. Pre-game players will be escorted directly to the lockerroom starting one hour before your game. Please do not try to sneak in any alcohol or beer - it will be confiscated by Pepsi Center. Bags are quickly checked by an employee and tagged.
Parking at Pepsi Center is controlled by the City of Denver. We suggest pulling up alongside the the street with someone there to unload your gear quickly and bring it to us, or park in a lot down the street (or anywhere) and bring your gear with you.
PRE-GAME MEETUP AT BROOKLYN’S
All After-Hours teams are asked to take advantage of an exclusive 10% discount off your total bill at Brooklyn’s Bar and Grill! If you plan on taking a group of 10 or more players, friends and family members over to Brooklyn’s before the Avalanche game, let us know a few weeks in advance and we will arrange special seating accomodations for you! We will provide you with Guild Membership Cards that just need to be shown to your waiter in order to honor the 10% discount. Let them know we sent you and have a great time enjoying the pre-game atmosphere!
THE AVALANCHE GAME
Enjoy the great deal on the seats and cheer the Avalanche on to victory with your teammates and friends! As soon as the final horn sounds and the Avs game is over, all players and members of the group (family and friends) should head back to the Main Atrium and gather outside of the Altitude Authentics store (Kids/Ladies store), which is directly across from the main Altitude Authentics store.
That is where you will rendezvous with The Avalanche Guild and the rest of your crew before heading back to the locker room. Please make sure that everyone in your group or anyone that is staying to watch the game meets as quickly as possible. There is usually only 15-20 minutes to get dressed. Players will be escorted to the locker room and fans will be escorted to the stands. No concessions are available and fans can sit anywhere they would like in designated sections.
THE AFTER-HOURS GAME
4:00p-5:00p OR 10:15p – 11:15p
All players must sign a waiver form before they are allowed on the ice. Fill out the form before hand and bring a signed copy with you, or there will be waivers there for you to sign. Hold onto these waivers – they are your golden ticket onto Pepsi Center ice!
It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to move fast and be ready. Every minute on the ice counts!! There is only 15-20 minutes to get dressed and ready for your game. We will have helpers on hand to fill up your water bottles for you. We do not bring used water bottles for safety reasons, so please bring your own water bottle.
Once the Zamboni doors close, let the fun begin! Hit the ice and start warming up as we set up the scoreboard, PA system and the music. The clock starts ticking right away, so we keep the warmup to 5:00 minutes. Games include two 15-minute run periods plus a 12-minute stopped third period. Games that end in a tie will go to a quick 5-man shootout. Please be mindful that the ice staff is staying late to service our needs, so as soon as the game is over, please be prompt getting off the ice!
