Avalanche Make Minor League Swap With Oilers
The Colorado Avalanche got on the board during the trade deadline countdown, swapping prospective talent with the Edmonton Oilers.
Current Lake Erie Monsters defenseman Kevin Montgomery has been traded to the Edmonton Oilers for defensive prospect Shawn Belle. Montgomery, 22-years-old, has played in 51 games, accumulating 19 points and finishing minus two on the season for the Monsters.
The 26 year old Belle brings with him a little bit more NHL experience, having played in 16 games ad owning one point. He is minus two on the season after five games with Edmonton. Belle has been a career minor leaguer thus far in his career.
What do you think? Will Belle crack the Avalanche roster in the future?
